Thanks gents, they did a really great job! Unfortunately some seams are slightly visible and they wanted to give it another go with a little fiberglass, but time constraints said 'no'. The seams are only visible in certain light and really aren't bad at all in my living room. I'll probably just leave them be, but it'll be something I need to consider for future sets. Very glad we did not go matte though, that would have been very visible!
In other news, the 3D printer came in handy yet again as I try to fix the crossover problem. I think I have my solution - both the low bass and bandpass crossovers will be located in the lower compartment. In my infinite brilliance (you know, the one that made this mistake in the first place?) I somehow sized the access panel to be large enough that both crossovers can fit without issue. I just had to make a frame to support the second one.
