Hi all, I am new to this forum and I just recently started my Anthology's. I have a set of Dali Concept's now and I want something better.
At first I planned to build the Statement II speaker but those were rejected by my better half due to their size. I really like the Statement design of Spleen21 so I decided to do the Anthology's instead with the cabinets designed by Spleen. (Many thanks for your help on the dxf file!!)
Width and depth will be the same as Spleen's design, I will only reduce height. (approx 1200mm high, depending on ear level of the tweeter. I need to measure that first.)
Also the tunnels most likele will need some adjustments due to the bigger mid woofers in the Anthology's.
All is done in 19mm MDF, baffle will be 2x 19mm.
Last week I received the CNC'd inner parts for the cabinet and currently I am sourcing all the parts except the drivers.
For crossover parts I will use the following:
Erse super Q coils for the woofers, Intertek coils for mid and high, Audyn Q4 condensators, mundorf resistors except high power ones. For those I will use Vishay non inductive ones.
Drivers I will order when the cabinets are done.
I am not sure yet if I will paint them or vineer them, I am leaning more to vineering at the moment but we will see.
This week I will start with the baffle dado's. Progress pictures will follow!
