Rotel 1080 amp has 12v trigger, Yamaha RX-V1400 doesn't... Ideas?

Want to utilize my Harmony 880 remote to turn on the Rotel Amp when turning on/off all functions. Problem is that my Yammy Rx-V1400 doesn't have the 12v trigger function. Can I purchase a device that will alleviate this issue? don't really want to add a Rotel (or other) reciever just to get this function...

    Thoughts?

    Thank you!

12v power supply plugged into the back of the 1400's switched outlets.

      Kevin,
I found a thread that helped after I saw your post. I'm seemingly all set... Need to find out from someone though if the blue light on the Rotel 1080 should go out when all is turned off. The Rotel manual doesn't mention this, but does say the Power button always needs to be turned on. I checked the trigger and it's operational, but now am wondering why that Blue light on the Rotel would always stay on. Doesn't seem right to me... Who am I to say though? I coudn't even figure out a good way to create a trigger until today and now it seems so basic :-/

      Ideas on that blue light?

As per the thread in Rotel Club, it should stay on all the time. Glad you got it worked out!

          12 Volt trigger Rotel 1098 -> Pioneer DV 45A
          by HibbardSmith
I'd like to use a 12 v trigger from my Rotel 1098 to a Pioneer DV-45A Elite DVD Player. I can't find any information about Pioneers trigger in. Is this some Pioneer proprietary thing or is it 12 Volt trigger compatible?

I wasn't sure where to post this, but it's really not a Rotel question....

Rotel 1069 or to-be-released Emotiva processor?
          by kmcheng
Has anyone done a comparison of Rotel vs. Emotiva in terms of their processors? I am about to pull the trigger on the Rotel 1069, but then I came across the Emotiva UMC-1. The Emotiva unit has not been released yet. However, I am wondering if anyone has listened to some previous versions of Emotiva's...

Hi All, my first post! I'm a long time Rotel fan
I have 2 RB1091 amps which I got a deal on from my local dealer several years ago. At the time he said the 12v triggers weren't working. At the time this wasn't a problem for me. However since upgrading my system late last year I now want to...

          Rotel 1570/1575 12v trigger problem
          by RichardB
          Hi,

I have recently picked up a Rotel 1570/1575, and I am having a few problems with the 12v trigger between the 1570/1575. I am unable to get the 1575 to power on while using the trigger when turning the 1570 on. I have the trigger cable connected to trigger out 1 on the 1570, and the...
