    Rotel 1069 or to-be-released Emotiva processor?

    Has anyone done a comparison of Rotel vs. Emotiva in terms of their processors? I am about to pull the trigger on the Rotel 1069, but then I came across the Emotiva UMC-1. The Emotiva unit has not been released yet. However, I am wondering if anyone has listened to some previous versions of Emotiva's processor products (LMC-1 or MMC-1) and might be able to comment on its audio capabilities, especially in comparison with any of the Rotel processors.

    Here are some of the comparisons one can draw without being able to A/B the two units side-by-side:

    Emotiva: MSRP at $699
    Rotel: MSRP at $2200

    Emotiva: Release Date rumored to be "Summer 2008", which probably means early 2009, optimistically speaking.
    Rotel: Available now

    Emotiva: No consumer testing yet; no reviews
    Rotel: Hopefully all known issues are fixed by now; great reviews
