    12 Volt trigger Rotel 1098 -> Pioneer DV 45A

    I'd like to use a 12 v trigger from my Rotel 1098 to a Pioneer DV-45A Elite DVD Player. I can't find any information about Pioneers trigger in. Is this some Pioneer proprietary thing or is it 12 Volt trigger compatible?

    I wasn't sure where to post this, but it's really not a Rotel question. It's really more a Pioneer question I guess.

      As it turns out, I hadn't done enough thinking. The connectors that the Pioneer calls control in and control out are really about IR out and IR in. They don't appear to have anything to do with 12 turn on/off kinds of stuff.

      Sorry, I should have tried to chase this before posting.

        Smitty, I hopped on the Pioneer web-site and pulled up the owner's manual on your 45A. Man, they don't give you much information on the remote on/off do they?

            by vasia
            I am looking for a budget CD/SACD player. MY priorities are redbook CDs and then SACD (I only have one disk right now). Looking at the audiogon, etc., it seems like there is a bunch of options on used/older models. My budget is 250-300. Please help me choose between, maybe:

            Basic Calibration Questions
            by EAmin
            Couple of questions:

            1. I calibrate all of my speakers using my processor test tones. My DVD player (Pioneer DV-45a) also has some calibration settings for speaker distance as well as volume level. What do I set my DVD settings to if I've done all of this on the processor?

            I understand that I may get a biased answer on this, considering the forum, but I have a question.

            I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on my first setup and I'm trying to decide on which Surround Receiver to go with. Has anyone been able to compare these two units side by side. ...
