Don't know anything about that model. It isn't one they promote for home theater as far as i know so I can't really say how good it would be. But it may be an okay starter PJ for $800. Is that new or used ? I ask because you can get widescreen lcd PJs for around $1200 USD brand new. And for around $1400 you can get the Infocus dlp widescreen 854 x 468 PJ. Some members here have this projector and love it. Check out the threads below.

The Infocus model 4805 I referred to has widescreen dmd panels or 1:78:1. With the Optoma 800 x 600 (4:3) dmd panels you will get light spill above and below widescreen material such as dvds and widescreen hdtv programs.

I recently installed an older model PLUS sidekick DLP projector into my home theatre setup and while watching movies the image will flip vertically. At that point I will use the remote to go back into the projection setup menu and the image is still set appropriately. When I move to a new setup and...

I really want to go this route but I can't quite get there... especially since I just went out and bought a 1080 and 703's 6 weeks ago.

What brings me to this 'need' is the fact that in reading many of the threads on this forum, and listening to my YAM, I truly think I'm missing something...
