    Wolf Hall

Two episodes in. Loving it so far. NOT an action oriented series. Gives an account of Henry VIII's wife troubles from the POV of Thomas Cromwell. Not recommended for those who think Game of Thrones is too slowly paced and lacks violence. :W:rofl:

I watched part of the second episode last night.
I will definitely be setting my DVR to capture the rest of the series.

Never saw any of the GOT shows.
I am more of a Richard II, Richard III, Henry IV, V, VI & VIII kind of guy. : )

I bought the Season Pass from iTunes as I plan to show excerpts in class. Makes a nice contrast with A Man for All Seasons.

For over twenty years I make the effort watch A Man for All Seasons once a year to stay grounded to my personal values.

One of my favorite quotes from all time is from this movie:

Margaret More: Father, that man's bad.
Sir Thomas More: There's no law against that.
William Roper: There is: God's law.
Sir Thomas More: Then God can arrest him.

Game of Thrones is far too tame so I'll definitely keep an eye out for Wolf Hall. When throats are slit I want to see arteries!

Was the red wedding too Peter, Paul, and Mary for you guys? Sheesh...

And I suppose the Lannister affair is the Hallmark Channel romance love story of our time?

Well, we're safe for now. Thank goodness we're in a bowling alley.

Agreed Chris. It will be hard for Wolf Hall or any other series to top the red wedding episode.
