Rocky Balboa

Picked this up lastnight, I didnt even know it was out yet.
Anyways, I thought it a decent movie, with a good story line. I thought it was well done, but it seemed like they fit alot into a hour and half. (Ya know, it just seemed like it moved to fast) Another 20 mins may have helped.

I really dont know what to think of the boxing scene. Im dont think I like they way it was shot, the sound left alot to be desired. The breakouts to the commentary and comments by coaches could have been a bit different.

Overall, I thought it was a good movie that told a good story.
I give it 3 stars.

I only have the first Rocky in my collection because I didn't feel the sequels were up to par. I had read some fairly decent reviews on this latest one but I am thinking I will rent first before laying out any cash for a purchase.

I did like #2. It had the best boxing scenes of them all.

Rented and watched Rocky Balboa over the weekend. I rather liked it but have to say I was satisfied with just renting. It moves slowly and once you know the ending, I just don't feel it has that rewatch appeal.

Just watched this tonight. FANTASTIC. Really did a good job, not only going back to the original premise of the first Rocky, but incorporating the other Rocky movies, and somewhat making up for them. Very much liked how it got back to the original movie's themes of the man, the struggle, and the human spirit. Has very little to do with the boxing itself.
