I picked this up because I’ve seen the anime in the past. I was excited when I saw DTS on the cover, but didn’t realize until I popped the disc in its only DTS in Cantonese.
Anyways, it follows the anime a pretty close; there are one or two characters that play different rolls. But the one thing I was surprised was the sound, I can say out of all the movies I’ve watched, this one gave my center channel the biggest workout, brought it to life! The movie had constant music and sound effects. Pretty good movie overall, if your at all into the series. Then again, being based off the series, it’s kind of sappy and the acting is over the top in many parts. Anime brought to life. The computer effects were also pretty darn good! Over all I enjoyed it.
