    Captain America: Civil War

Another entertaining entry in the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe, for the uninitiated  ). It succeeds very well at what it sets out to accomplish. Spidey is pitch-perfect, it looked great at the 15/70 full size IMAX venue and I was entertained throughout. It will obviously be compared to Batman v Superman, and will no doubt have much higher satisfaction ratings among critics and a good chunk of viewers. In part, the accolades will reflect the fact the filmmakers chose a "safe approach", one far less likely to challenge audience expectations than BvS. That's fine. But I admire the BvS filmmakers more for their willingness to take a riskier approach, at the cost of upsetting audience expectations. YMMV

If you are an MCU fan, a must see. One caveat, for those who have not seen all the MCU movies (this one is number 13 in the shared universe, not counting Jessica Jones and Daredevil on Netflix, as well as Agents of Shield on ABC): some bits will be confusing or obscure, as the story presumes prior knowledge for a complete understanding of proceedings.

Great to hear. I'm hearing very good things about this one, looking forward to seeing it. I heard that the Hulk and Thor aren't present, though. Bummer!

This is a must see! I had a really good time and this movie far outshines the BvS movie. I know different tones, etc. I think the story crafting and story telling was so much better.

Hulk and Thor are mentioned, but don't show up. This is just a Captain America movie, but it is as if all the movies combine into one very big universe.

Saw it this weekend. Great flick! Thought it was a little contrived, the way they set the superheroes against each other. It should have taken more. But only a little. Plot was good, fighting was great, adding Ant Man, Spidey, and Black Panther. I love that these superhero epics are gathering great efforts and results, even if some of the individual movies are a bit less wonderful. :45: out of :5:

Preview Of The Hulk - No Spoilers
          by David Meek

Looky, looky! Just brought up the TIVO and guess what was flashing at me? A preview of the upcoming movie The Hulk. I like Eric Bana A LOT - he was one of the nice surprises in Black Hawk Down. He plays Bruce Banner who, under stress, becomes the Hulk after a gamma ray radiation accident....

I just came back from watching this movie. I'm really psyched right now! This movie was awesome! DEFINITELY 100% better than the last one they made. I want to be careful on some of the things I say so that I don't spoil it.

What I liked about it most is how intricate the "comic...

Hulk the thinking man's comic book hero
          by George Bellefontaine
Watched this just before Christmas. I really am not into comic book heroes on the big screen, with a few exceptions like the first Batman, Superman and Blade. But the Hulk was well done in a very intelligent way. Good story, direction and acting from all concerned. But for those of you who haven't seen...

I watched this BD last night. This is my second BD, and I must say, I still am impressed with the audio of these disks. You can hear so much detail. The video was very impressive during the forrest scenes. Overall, great BD disk. I didn't care for the extras though. I was hoping to see some sneak...

Petition for Disney to release 3D Blu-Rays in North America
          by Chris D
For those who may not have noticed, Disney has for whatever reason decided to stop releasing most new Blu-Rays with 3D in North America. It would be one thing if the movie wasn't 3D capable. Or another thing if Disney just decided to abandon 3D altogether. But Disney is now releasing Blu-Rays around...
