I am upgrading from an Arcam AVR 200 receiver and deciding where to spend my hard earned money. I have looked at Classe, Anthem, higher end Arcam. I have started with the HDMI cabling as it is probably the way of the future. So after surfing the NAD site what led you to the M15 and M25 combo? Do you run HDMI through it.
I used to run HDMI through it, but my system outgrew the HDMI capabilities. I now run a cheap MonoPrice 4:2 HDMI splitter.
It's the sheer musicality of the set that drew mw. I had a Lyngdorf TA2200 before for my stereo setup. I had the opportunity to audition the M25, with the TDA as a preamp. Suddenly I had music in my system again! Not gust good sound, but real, proper music!. Endless power, great listenability, and they NEVER, EVER get fatiguing. The M15 is the natural companion, and it is also very, very good. Slightly lacking in the features department these days, but for proper sound quality you can't beat it. Even DD and DTS sound better than most HD formats on my system, and for music there's not many surround systems that even comes close! I've auditioned quite a few preamp/processors, but in my pricerange there's not really any contenders. The M25 will never leave my system. Actually, I'm lookign to get another one. I currently run a 5.1 system with the fronst biamped. I'm looking to have all five speakers biamped, and maybe adding another set for 7.1.
Btw, my speakers are Dali Euphonia MS4 fronts, CS4 center and Dali Mentor 2 rears, with dual DIY 15" sonotubes.
Me, I'm an M50 (music server), M51 (DAC) and M52 (digital vault- RAID5 array designed for M50) user and fan. See Digital Audio section for more comments.

Resistance is not futile, it is Volts divided by Amperes...

Hey all :-) thought about and buy some 2nd hand, nad m2 and use them as Power Amplifire with my Marantz AV8801
Do you guy's think it will be good? Im going to need 4 of them for my 7.1 surround sound.
I know you can set the Volume til FIXED as NAD say in the Manual so it can be use as 2-channel bloks...
Should work well, be a good deal if the price is right. OTOH, though NAD developed their PWM power/DAC architecture with Zetex, this last year they released products using Hypex nCore technology.
Of course, my noting of this post and response is only about a year late...
I bought an NAD M22, dual channel amp using NAD's licensed implementation of nCore modules, and it sounds very, very good.

Not currently a NAD user but fondly remember my first "HiFi" of NAD C321 amp and C520 CD player (iirc).
Personally very interested in the NAD M17 if/when I split the Home Theatre and Music systems into separate rooms (which still wanting good music in the HT room).
