    Shanling CD-Player-any experiences?

I´m interested in a Shanling CD-Player (CD T100, CD T200). Great design and also some very good reviews. Anybody out there with some experience?

I own a CDT 100C and I think it's a wonderful sounding player, especially after replacing the stock tubes with WE396s. It has smooth highs, a well developed yet not forward midrange an a very solid bottom. It is very clear and high resolution even in standard mode.I think the 24bit 96khz upsampling settings make it a bit too bright for my system.

The Shanling is also a joy to behold. Ear candy and eye candy at the same time.

      Thank you Dr.JRapp!
Yes, it looks really great and I think it offers good value for the price. Can´t decide between the T100 and T200. I heard that it sounds far better than the T100...
      Have the chance to buy a T200 for 1700€. Mmhh-should I?

You might want to search the archives on the Audio Asylum Digital forum. A number of people posted about having issues getting service when things when wrong with their players.

I WOULD be very careful if you are overseas. Here in the US Shanling is imported and servied by Music Hall, Inc. (some of the MH brand players are actually shanling). I have also read that the 100 sounds better on redbook CDs than the 200. Go figure!!!!

            Shanling CDT100 first impressions
            by DrJRapp
Untill very recently my preferences in audio gear have always leaned on the conservative side. My system is infused with equipment names known mostly for their high bang for the buck; Rotel, Klipsch, Cambridge Audio, Denon...etc. Well that appears to be changing.

            Back in January I saw...

            Shanling CD-T80 is good!
            by DL86
Well, I thought I might write about the shanling cd-t80 i just received today. I received the CD player triple boxed with packaging that was out of this world. After unpacking it and placing everything in place I played my first CD on it, RHCP Stadium Arcadium. I have the CD player directly connected...

Shanling CD300 tube CD player in tha house
            by sirbogey
:T since I moved to Hong Kong late last summer I decided to give Shanling a try. Their gear is quite affordable over here.

got the CD player last week and decided to pick it up myself to save on the shipping charge. What a mistake! First, this player is huge, second it's damnn heavy!...

            Modifications for Shanling CD T80
            by Soccerball
Hi, just want to see who out there has experience in modifying their Shanling T80. I heard the first thing to do is to replace the stock tubes with something like WE 396A. I wonder what kind of an improvement can be expected? Is that a hugh difference in sound quality? Thanks for your advice.
