    Vincent SP-T100&SA-T1 Speakers!? Kef ?

    Hi there guys,

I have recently got my new ampage babies..

    a Vincent SA-T1 Pre-Amp
    Vincent SP-T100 MonoBloks (Set)
will hopefully have there CD-S6 CD Player in a couple of weeks if all goes ok!..

But I'm still using my old (Dare I say it!)
Eltax Symphony 8.2's , I really need some good speakers that will show of the clarity of my music system.

    I was wondering about some Kef's iq9's ,
but was not sure if they still really don't
    do the system much justice?

I'm in the uk with not the biggest of budgets
    at all!...

Thanks for any advice you can give...

(New to the high end hi-fi world, have been assisted by a friend who works
in a hifi shop, with the amps so far.)

Hi keirondrk. Welcome to the Guide!

    I'm sure Chris won't mind me giving you a few........dancing bananas :B

    :dancenana::banana:

I have the Vincent CD-S6 CD Player and I also have the Vincent SA-T1 Pre-Amp on order.

I have some serious interest in the Vincent SP-T100 MonoBloks, but I don't know how they sound. I'd also like to know about their internal quality. If you wouldn't mind, when you have time, could you share your thoughts and experiences with these amps? Anything you could tell me, would be helpful.
    Tony

I've only just recently got hold of the amps... (was a bit of a deal with a local guy moving out of the country who hadn't used them yet).

a friend of mine owns a local hi-fi shop and recommended the range
very highly, said they compared quality wise to equipment with a much
      higher price tag!.

build wise from what I've seen they are clean and professional.

look very nice as a set!...

and as far as I'm aware sound just as awsome to match!.

the few people that I have spoken to about the equipment seem to
give them only praise, so I've taken the plunge, but yet to get them
fully setup and give them a good testing..

(need to sort the s6 matched cd player)

and I'm not really going to know just how good they can perform until I can get hold of some decent speakers to show them off.

But I trust the people who recommended them to me on my budget, and I don't think I'm going to be disapointed

(my first actual go into getting myself some proper hi-fi gear!)

(bit scared about getting some power cables for it all, damn the prices are mad!! )

        B&W 683 vs FC 816V vs KEF iQ7
        by Klaus<n
Hi everyone, I'd like to ask for your advice on the speakers I'm about to buy. I've tested the B&W 683, the Focal Chorus 816V and the KEF iQ7. My impression is that B&W takes the cake slightly but I want to hear from you.

Second, I've been offered to use with the B&W 3 choices...

        What surrounds - 601 vs. CDS6 (in-wall)
        by mihaeli
I have 603 front speakers, and plan tol proceed with getting full 5.1 configuration. I am convinced that the DM601 would be better surrounds but my wife is keen on hiding as much as possible the setup. Please advice would the in-wall B&W CDS6 speakers be acceptable, or the DM601 is the way to go?...

Speaker Battle: KEF XQ5 vs. Dynaudio Audience 82
        by jbreezy5
This is a review/comparison of the KEF XQ5's with Dynaudio Audience 82's:

I purchased a pair of KEF XQ5's used yesterday for $1,000 from Theatrical Concepts Inc. on Craig's List. They seem to be fully broken in; they lack the typical signs to indicate otherwise. Initially I was not sure...
