Best price on a RSP1068 in Melbourne, AUS

    Hey all,

I am very new to this forum and am very happy indeed to have stumbled upon this by chance!!

Anyhow, I am looking for the best price on an RSP-1068 that I wish to upgrade to from my RSP-976. I already have an RMB-1075 which I love and will be looking soonafter for a RB-1080 to run my mains and the 1075 for the rest of the channels.

Many thanks in advance and I look forward to many years of enjoyment participating on this forum

    Sajaka,

People have bought these for around Aussie $1900 to 2000 and been very happy with the discount - so test your dealer in this space (they have had a small price rise recently with the $AUS change)...

        Hi,

The main Melbourne Rotel dealers are Encel, Audio Video Excellence, Intersound, Audio Trends and Frankston HI FI. I think Frankston used to be pretty amenable for a discount... I also think that Sithlord knows people at Audiotrends in Melbourne http://www.audiotrends.com.au/ and they are supposed to be great people to deal with...

However any discount always depends on the time you put in to a relationship with the store, their stock levels and the particular sales-person you find.

I bought all my gear from AudioTrends (check out their new store its brilliant) and they are very good to deal with. Simon or Gary are very knowledgeable and helpful.

            Sajaga,

Over the last few years, I have purchased hi-fi equipment from Encel Stereo (Richmond), Frankston Hi Fi (duh - Frankston) and Klapp Electronics (Windsor/Prahran).

Out of the three, I would say Klapp Electronics is the pick of the bunch. Extremely friendly, knowledgeable and willing to do discounts on products. I will be buying through them in future when I get a subwoofer.

I don't think you can go wrong with any of them though.

            Cheers.
            Michael

Rotel RCD 1072 prices in AUS
                  by kudeta
For the Aussie contingent that frequent this forum, has anyone seen a better price than $770AUD for an RCD 1072? Also what would the going rate be for a 1075 amp?
And for those of you that helped me with my earlier questions on my RSX1055 thanx.

HTPC as a preamp and replace RSP1068??
                  by sajaga
                  Hey all,

I am not sure as to whether I should part with my Rotel RSP1068 and go it alone with my HTPC directly feeding my RB1080 (200x2) and the RB1075 (120x5).

The only thing that I seem to use on the rotel pre is the multichannel input (analog in) from my Meridian 7.1...

                  Recommended Rotel Store in Melbourne?
                  by lylmik
I'm trying to find out the opinions of the Melbourne/Australia members about their experiences with Rotel dealers, both pricewise and level of customer support. To put simply, who will not rip you off and/or charge you a fortune.

I'm actually interested in buying an RMB-1095 (I have...

I was asking a few weeks back in regards to where to pick up a 1068 in Melbourne - ended up at Encel Niddrie where I had picked uo my 1075 a year or so back. Walter gave me a great deal on the 1068 - $1900.00 even. Well let me tell you that I was like "a pig in...

                  RSP1066 Vs RSP1068
                  by wywong
                  Hi,
I have an option of buying an RSP1066 or an RSP1068, the different in price is about $400. Can someone give me an opinion on whether it is worth the extra of $400 to get the RSP1068. I am currently using a Denon 3803 as a pre/processor and the RMB1075. Will this upgrade to the Rotel RSP1066...
