Help: How to connect 1068 pre to Marantz Receiver.

    Hi,

I bought the Rotel 1060/1075 combo to replace my Marantz AVR SR7000. The F/C/S are driven by the 1075. I would like to use the SR7000 to drive the 2 Center Back speakers until I can afford the 1080. Is it possible to accomplish this ? How do I connect the 1068 CB1/2 output to the Marantz SR7000.

    thanks,

Plug the Rotel surround back preouts (using an RCA cable) into any two of the 6 channel inputs (i.e., SL & SR). Set the Marantz to external input or whatever would be used for DVD-Audio/SACD. Set the volume to "0" reference level on the Marantz.

I am doing this with a Rotel 1056 and my old Denon 2800 and it works like a charm.

You can also power a second zone. Use the second zone preouts into the FL and FR external inputs. All you need is an additional set of speakers and you can power a second zone. I am doing this as well.

Any reason to switch from a Marantz SR7000 to a SR7400?
        by audioqueso
        Hello everyone.

I just bought a Marantz SR7000 from ebay to power my B&W 601s (upgraded from an old Onkyo TX-DS575x). I wanted to get a Rotel RSX-1056, but money changed, so I had to go with something under $700. I listened to a Marantz SR7000 with my speakers and found them to...

        B&W 704 fronts with Marantz SR5001 bi-amp setup
        by swams
I was previously borrowing a Marantz SR7000 from a friend hooked up to my B&W 704 speakers. He needed it back, so I went out and bought a new Marantz SR5001, because I didn't want to spend the money on something like a Rotel RSX-1057. At first I was really disappointed with the SR5001... it sounded...

        Second Zone Bleedthrough
        by Scherr
I noticed that if I have my second zone on the same input as my main zone, that even with the second zone off, there is still sound playing through the second zone speakers. Turning the second zone on makes the sound louder. Turning the second zone off makes it fainter, but still noticeable.

Any Way To Have 1055 Internal Amps Power Second Zone?
        by gostan
Two days with mynew rsx-1055 and I have several questions. I do need a second amp to power my zone 2. I would like more power on the main channels. Since I have to purchase a second amp for zone 2 and since I got such a great deal on the 1055 (3 months old - traded to my dealer) I was wondering why...

        Zone 2 on a RSP-976
        by Jpag
Wanted to see if this was normal. Manual says that is Zone 2 is on the standby light would flash when the unit is powered down. However, I have a RMB-1095 with the 12v trigger. I have found that when the second zone is on, the unit will not power down the amp. This makes no sense to me, since the...
