    Proper 7.1 Setup

As I prepare to wire my two new surrounds into my existing 5.1 setup, it occurred to me that I really don't have a clue as to the best solution for wiring the surrounds. In other words, my existing 5.1 setup has two small speakers at the rear of my 20 x 12 room. I am adding two better quality surrounds on each side wall. All surrounds are dipolar. Should I reconnect the current surrounds channels (left rear, right rear) to the two new side speakers, and then connect the center back left and right outputs to the speakers at the rear of the room?

I'd like to receive some comments from all of you experienced B&W owners on my need for a new 5.1 speaker setup for my "media room". Firstly, this room is above the garage and so is somewhat smaller (hence the quotes) than many I've read about here -- W12ft x L25ft x H8ft, and with 45...

I finally got around to adding rear surround speakers to bring the system up to 7.1 and I have a few questions:

How has everyone gone about setting the speaker levels for proper playback levels. I remember hearing somewhere that adding the rear speakers doubles the volume output in reference...

        Hello Gang,

I’ve been lurking for awhile trying to catch up on recent advancements. I built my sub, mains, and surrounds 2-3 years ago. My question is what center channel speaker to build.

        The facts:

        My setup now is:
        1) 2 Adire Audio Kit 281s transmission...

Hi Guys – glad to see this place is still alive and active.

I’m dropping by to get some advice on how to complete my HT setup that I started down the path of building about, 5 or so years ago . I believe my old handle was Jblack03 (I think) but created this new account.
