    Digital Amp Update

FYI...the digital amp will go on sale Q1 2005, with a suggested retail price of $2500. It will be called the RMB-1077, and as previously mentioned will be 7x100WPC.

Sounds like Rotel is trying to lift themselves upstream in price point. This is not such a bad thing...as long as the amps performance lives up to it's price.

Not much to see at all.. I think it's only about 3" high and looks like a RB-1050 with 7 LED's on the front...

It is indeed only 3 (or so) inches high, but it is all silver in the front, with no external heat sinks (one of the benefits of a switching type amplifier). So it is sort of like an RC-1070 with no buttons or dials. Just a power switch.

If there are no heat sinks (that by the way are just for show on all the amps) does this mean new design without the handles???

Actually the 5-channel amps use the front heat sinks for the center channel. During movies it gets the most use and needs a little bit more dissapation.

Not on my 1095 - no transistors connected to it..

It still has handles on the left and right side.
