FYI...the digital amp will go on sale Q1 2005, with a suggested retail price of $2500. It will be called the RMB-1077, and as previously mentioned will be 7x100WPC.

It is indeed only 3 (or so) inches high, but it is all silver in the front, with no external heat sinks (one of the benefits of a switching type amplifier). So it is sort of like an RC-1070 with no buttons or dials. Just a power switch.- Bottom

Actually the 5-channel amps use the front heat sinks for the center channel. During movies it gets the most use and needs a little bit more dissapation.

by Chris DI talked with Paul at Parasound today, and got some good info on the update issue. Apparently yes, the current version available is 6.42. Version 6.49 was developed, but bugs were found, and it is not currently available to the public. If anyone inadvertently has version 6.49, they should contact Parasound...-
