Nice chairs! It looks like a great HT room :Tany comments...
As for set up the first thing I'd do is pull your front speakers out a foot or so and toe them in slightly. I'd also buy two rubber door stops and tilt that centre channel down a little as well.
As for the sub I'd look at either Adire or SVS. I know Adire has a sale on their cylinder sub (sadhara) that's very nicely priced at the moment and its a killer sub.- Bottom

There's likely at least another year + (probably closer to 1.5) for the 1098 IMO (educated guess). If you're that worried buy a used one or get a 1068 etc until the next generation comes out. Otherwise buy and be happy

by PerryHello everyone
I am thinking whether I ought to get myself an Adire subwoofer. Can anyone give a view about a subwoofer built with the following specs:
88.5 liter closed enclosure (down-firing design)
Shiva 12" driver with an
AVA 250 amp or as an alternative...-

by Jeff AguilarI have been helping a friend put together a new system for his home. They had a very limited budget they wanted to spend. They did not want to spend over $300 for a receiver and not over $300 for a sub to be purchased at a later time.
I did talk him into going for the Outlaw 1050 at $499. While...-

by JonMarshJust a tale about work in progress, who's only moral is to consider your options and choices carefully. This is about making a "simple sub" from stuff on hand- for testing with the development version of my monolith line array, and to use in my bedroom system.
I'm getting ready...-

by MightyMNot too long ago I completed a pair of Adire 281s for my mains and now I'm looking at building a subwoofer to pair them with to help fill out the lower end. The 281s do well down to about 50Hz, but right around there the bass starts to get a bit "thin".
At this point I'm looking...-
