G'day,
I'm going to get a Rotel RMB-1075 5 x 120w power amplifier, and I'm wondering what kind of pre-amplifier to match it with.
I was seriously considering a Rotel RSP-1068 AV pre-processor, but since I listen to music about 90% of the time, I figured that the stereo output should be a higher-priority than the surround output.
So I was thinking that maybe the Rotel RC-1070 stereo pre-amplifier would provide a better stereo sound than the RSP-1068. I'd then get an entry level AV receiver with 5 channel pre-outs (such as the NAD T742, for example), to act as the AV pre-processor.
Is that a good alternative to just getting the RSP-1068? Or is the RSP-1068 "good enough" for stereo use that I really don't need to get a seperate stereo pre-amplifier?
