Hooked up the 1068/1075 yesterday.
Initially had the units unboxed and setup at the dealer. At the dealer they
were dead quiet. At my place, there is a slight hum (6" from the speakers).
I'll track down the ground loop in due time.
Initial impressions:
Call me crazy, but the "pass through" on the 1068 has made a dramatic
difference in the picture quality on DVD's. At first, I thought maybe I was
just thinking there was a difference. Later, my wife walked by and said
"what did you do to the TV, that picture looks great". Note, I did not change
cables or make any other modifications.
I still have my original speakers - Paradigm Titans (fronts), CC170 (center),
a couple of in-walls (rears) and Paradigm Sub.
The 1068/1075 sounds really good. There is a big difference, as compared
to my RSX-972. Note, I haven't had time to do any tweaking.
The 1075 certainly does not run hot, just a little warm. The 1068 is just a
little warmer, but not hot.
Just my impressions
