Added an RC-1070 about 1 1/2 weeks ago, and AHHHHH. Found that oh so sweet 2 channel sound again. I love the RSX-1055 / RMB-1075 for ht duty, and the RC-1070 / RMB-1075 front 2 channels for audio only. I dug an old ADC processor out of the closet for straight thru switching between the 2. It acomplishes this w/o power so I am adding or subtracting nothing from the signal. This should keep me content until the 1068's come down in price or something break-thru comes out. Also recently added the new Denon-1910 HD dvd wich for $250 seems to be a pretty descent little unit

Thanks, Drew. It's actually the 23... smokin' good CD player and well worth the step up from the DiVA CD92. I'm a big believer in the Ring DAC.

Just spent nearly 90 min scanning through this guys and I have to say I amazed and impressed. Just for fun here's some of my stuff, the room is temporary wqhile I develop the basement into a proper home theater room ( 14x30). In these pics:

Good choices, for your upgrades. I would wait for the next generation DVD players from Rotel They should be available in late 2005 or sooner. For your speakers DS6 S3 are great combo speakers and you would not be disappointed

As promised here's my new rack with the 1098/1080/1075 combo on the left and the Bell Receiver/VCR/DVD changer and CD changers on the right. Looks like I've got some more space to add some more amps below the Rotels :yesnod:. Actually there's a stack of gear on the other side of this rack for the BFD, sub power amp and the Sony receiver powering the second zone.

Okay! Here it is! My humble system. My next upgrade will be the TV. I would upgrade now but there aren't many HDTV channels available. I figure within a year there will be alot more. Plus by then most of the Plasmas and LCDs will have built in tuners. Some have them now but the prices are still high.

Bing, that typicaly is a flag given to family members when a veteran dies. It is presented at the funeral and usualy covers the casket at the funeral. But this may not be mitch's story though.

I picked the silver RMB-1095 because I thought it would add a nice distinctive look to the rest of my rack. I didn't go with the black because I thought it would have kinda dissappeared in the rack with the rest of my black components. Plus my TV is greyish silver and the power button on my Integra DVD changer is silver as well.

The stars are in fact US Flags folded to fit in a Koa wood rectangular box. The flag on the top left was flown over the USS Arizona Memorial in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii on the 50th anniversery of the bombing of Pearl Harbor by the Japanese in World War II.

The one on the top right was flown over the Arizona Memorial on 50th anniversery of VJ day (Victory in Japan).

The one on the right bottom was flown over the Arizona Memorial when I re-enisted in the US Navy on the Arizona Memorial. I spent 7 out of my 20 year Navy career in Peral Harbor.

I have a few more which were also flown over the Arizona Memorial. In case you didn't know, Koa wood is very rare and is only grown in Hawaii. It's a hard wood but it has a very unique grain pattern.

Erik, Thanks for that tidbit of info. Thinking about it, it makes sense, as I see them folded like that in the movies and in real life TV services, I just didn't put the two together.

Mitch, good call on the Silver amps, I think it gives some detail and distictiveness to the typical black :T I like black components too, however I also like the small silver on the amps as it's so recognizable

Yes indeed. They are cherished possessions which I proudly display. I got real lucky getting the two anniversy flags. They only flew a select amount of flags those two days and all of them were sold almost a year before they were even flown. The guy that was in charge of flying all the flags kept a couple extras for himself and was kind enough to let me buy one.
