rsx-1055 black or silver?

i think i've decided to get a 1055. but i'm having qualms about the color of all things. does anyone have any pictures of the 1055 in black? my dealer only has silver, but said he could order one in black. are the leds or display in a different color too?
everything else i have is black, so i'm thinking i ought to get the receiver in black. on the other hand it looks quite nice in silver.
i'm thinking this is a dilemma everyone has had since most audio equipment *is* black. what made you pick one over the other?

also, i was wondering--the fact that my dealer doesn't carry anything in black and that the rotel website doesn't show anything except in silver--is this to suggest that rotel may stop making products in black? in which case, if i'm planning on getting more rotel equipment in the future, maybe i may as well get silver?

This is in most cases I personal choice. Nevertheless when in black, dust and fingertip marks are much more visible. Also, during the many years you will keep you Rotel, black tend to change a little. Also the silver version of Rotel as some contrast as it includes some black parts too. I've RCD-1070/RSP-1066/RMB-1075 combo, all in silver, which I really like a lot.

ah, thanks for the great picture. so instead of blue, are the led and display red on the black model?

I went with black as well to match all my other gear. The silver does look nice but I wanted all my gear to dissapear in the rack in my HT so black was the only choice for me.

the black gear looks "mean"... very good. especially the menacing 1095. the darth vader of amps.

personally, i dig some contrast in the gear, and right now let me say THE FURNITURE goes alright with the components...heh, heh, heh. all black could be a bit much, and of course there is the WAF that we all must factor in.

personal prefs, that's what it's all about. in the end, the black will sound just like the silver, and with rotel we all win either way.

The display is blue, the power LED is red. I didn't know that the silver units has a blue LED . Hm, if I crack open my unit to do the BM mod, I might look at changing the LED too
