Once my RDV-1040 comes in (to join the 1068 and 1075) I will glady add some pics. Normally I dont like silver components but Rotel does a awsome job of balancing the silver and black together.

Pez, I agree... Generally I like black over Silver, but the way a rack of Silver Rotels looks is distinctive and elegant. Makes me want to swing to the light side (silver).

I like the way Rotel has incorporated the handles with out really having the typical handles :W

Hi All,
That some really sweet gear people have there! I would dearly love to own some of those B&W speakers you guys have. I'm using Jamo THX speakers which really nice for movies, but somewhat lacking in the 2 channel music stakes. Not wanting to hijack this thread, I posted a question here about two channel music specifically using B&W speakers and Rotel gear.

I particularly like Kevin's, that just rocks - how do you cool/vent all that?

Thanks.. It's recessed into a coat closet so there's technically enough air space to cool it, but I was getting some thermal shutdowns on the 1095 after a few hours of wife-less playing.

I've added two 5.25" fans that vent into the laundry room. My AMX system parses the RS232 feedback from the 1098 and does a voltage ramp on the fans. On through level 40 they run at 5 volts and I can't hear them. 40-80 is progressively ramped to up to 13.4 volts. 80+ is locked at 13.4 volts.

Work's great for music, as when I'm at 70+ the music typically over powers the fans (they're not loud anyway, but 'noticeable'). As soon as I get some more time to program I'm going to change the ramp multiplier for when I'm on TV/DVD so it caps the voltage off at probably 10 volts..

Thanks Yup, maple and probably aluminum but we'll see. My neighbour does custom metalwork for a living out of his home so I've got a good source Should match my Energy C's nicely :T

I have a question - forgive me if it is a bit of topic..

I can see in a lot of the pictures your main speakers are positioned very close to your equipment.
Now the questions is does this not affect the sound quality? I am not only thinking on vibrations, especially for the people using B&W speakers, but also on the magnetic field.
the reason I mention the B&W speakers are that they are known to have a very strong magnetic field and on my 801's positioning them closer than 3 feet to the TV courses color disturbence..
Should this not also have an effect on amp's. dvd's etc..?

I love how most of you guys have B&W with your Rotels. The Black CDMT's on the previous page, what an awesome set. I love the N805's too. Those have to be the best looking small speaker around. I do like the sound and the look of the new N703's :T

The speakers are over 5ft apart and I'm sitting not too far away, if I move the speakers farther apart I'm afraid of a hole in the middle of the soundstage. I'm very happy with the way the system sound so far.

The bottom line is I'm just too damn lazy to move that heavy rack. Maybe, moving it just a little bit farther out will sound even better, that's something I'll try eventually. :T

Nice Claude :T I like the way the Monster Power conditioner looks with the Rotel silver, almost as if it was made to match. When I first seen those I though they would look well with the Rotels.

Here is my modest gear. Not much of a "Rack" exactly but I enjoy the look. There should be a Elite DVD player where the HD reciever would sit on but it is at a buddies house for A/B comparison. I couldn't help but add a pic of my newest toy... the PT-AE500. I know it has nothing to do with this site but damn is it a nice addition to the wonderful sound I get out of the 1066/1075 combo!
