Anyone have a rotel setup with klipsch speakers?I have been curious about how the reference line from klipsch, the rf-35series,would match up.I have been waiting on my local dealer to get them in so i can listen to them.I currently have a complete polk audio lsi setup and even though it sounds ok its not the sound i am looking for.The polk setup sounds kinda laid back and not very dynamic. It could be my amp setup too,i am currently using a old carver m4.0t silver seven rated at 300 per channel at 4 ohms and for the surrounds i am using a adcom gfa7000 5 channel rated at 200 per channel at 4 ohms.I have a 7.1 setup with stereo surround backs and side surrounds.I just placed my order for a rsp-1068 to replace my 1066 which is for sale on ebay.Any thoughts..............

Yes, I have Klipsch RF3's , RC3II, SW10, and moved my SF2's to bring up the rear, and in 2 channel with an RSP-980, RMB-1075, the sound is oooohhhh so satisfying. I had ran a Craver TFM-35X between the 980 and the RF3's, and it was loud, butt, When I hooked up the 1075 even at low volume the soundstage opened up greatly. I can quite easily tell how much effort went into the manufacturing end of various CD's I have and listen to. I play CD's and DVD's thru a Denon DVD-900 which is nothing special, but in my belief the Rotel/ Klipsch Reference is a hard to beat combination :T (I recently purchased a RSX-1055 off of ebay and can't wait until tommorow night to relace the RSP-980, RDA-985, and RDA-980)- Bottom

Sounds like a good setup soundhound,i have never heard any klipsch speakers before, the ones you have are the pre rf-35 speakers right?Everyone has told me klipsch has a bright sound.I am going to get my new 1068 hooked up and broken in on the polks and hopefully my dealer will have a set of rf35's in by then so i can listen to them.I really would like to hear some rotel amps with my setup,i have been trying to get my dealer to let me demo a 1095 but with no success, they have a hard time keeping two in stock.Good luck with your 1055 ,nice piece.- Bottom

Ok!
I have 1098+1095 and Klipsch Reference series RF-7 (front) RC-7 (Center) and for the surround 2 "old" B&W little speakers (i will chage this with others Klipsch).
I can tell you that the sound is simply amazing: everyone who listen at this setup is literally *stunned* by the sound quality.
I've tried the Klipsch speakers with others ampli (Yamaha, Denon) but the result was not even close to the Rotel.
Don't esitate!- Bottom

Correct Racer, The RF3's are pre 35's, They have a pair of 8's and the horn tweeter, I have been able to leave the tone controls on the 980 completely flat, and do not get bright unless I use my Philips DVDR-985 as the source for 2 channel music. I had used a Yamaha RXV-850 as the pre for a while and that was considerably "brighter" than the 980. I am seing that various pieces and or sources will have a great effect to tonal quality in my home. Maybe its just me, but I attribute this to Rotel (in a positive way) as I had never experienced this with the Carver 35X, TFM-22, and the TFM-25 that I ran b-4 being replaced with the RMB-1075.- Bottom

Klipsch rf-3II vs. RF-35
I've been to a store that had the RF-3II and RF-35 together and when you hear both of them, the old RF-3 had a better soundstage and filled the room compared to the new 35. The 35 sounded a bit dull. Have anyone had this experience???? I've purchased the last 3II that was available. The drivers seems to be different.- Bottom

I'll add my two cents...
Klipsch and Rotel go together like Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers! I was ready to throw in the towel on my HT equipment, the Klipsch RF-3, RC-3 and RS-3 speakers and an Onkyo 787 HT receiver. Thankfully I came to my senses and decided to replace the Onkyo first.
I absolutely love the sound of the 1068/1075 with my Klipsch! I've listened to more music in the last few weeks than I have over the last few years.- Bottom

I have Klipsch La Scala (Left/Right), Klipsch Heresy II (Center) and Klipsch Reference RS-3s for Surrounds. My Subwoofer is Acoustice Research AR500 (whose amp is by Bob Carver).
The Mains (La Scalas) are run on Rotel RMB 1070; the Center and surrounds on Rotel RMB 1075; all fed through an RSP-1066.
Works like a charm. Yes the Klipsch are highly efficient speakers and yes they can probably work off a walkman as well - but feed them good clean power (and lot's of it), voila. It's a setup that has presence. The sound is immaculate and controlled - and indeed, very commanding.- Bottom

Heya Dennis R. How do you like the 2 channel with (analog - music) the 1068/ RF3 combo. I am using an RMB-1075, RF3's, but my pre is an RSX-1055. The processing is sweet, but the 2 channel doesnt hold a candle to the pre being the RSP-980. Am seriously contemplating the RSP-1068, or even picking up another RSP-980 just for 2 channel use. I would spend the xtra on the 1068 if I knew it would give me what I once had. The 1055 as a pre-amp just doesnt reach and and grab me as the 980 did. Thanx, Bob- Bottom

by ALSDear Freinds,
What's your opinion on Klipsch RF3 & Rotel RB991 power + RC1070 pre. Source as NAD 541i. I found the sound from above combo is bright & loud & not very balanced. My feeling is RB991 may be too much power (200rms/ch) for RF3s, since it's a high efficiency speaker...-

by formicaI've got a RSP980 prologic preamp and have been using the 6 channel analog input with my DVDA player. My question has to do with how the preamp deals with the LFE output in different modes, particularly in the 6 channel bypass mode. The reason being that if I adjust my sub level using the integrated...-

by ClintonHHi guys, new to the DIY audio world and would like some direction on a DIY home theater setup if you don't mind. I finished my theater a few weeks ago and love the setup minus some of the Audio. I went cheap on it as I bought everything at once and the wife limited the budget. After watching a few movies...-

by Chris DWe'll see if anybody gets any use out of this. I've attached several files in zip format for our club members here. Just click on the attached files at the end of the post if you'd like any of them. I figured that there might be someone that could find a file or two useful, perhaps to either set...-
