    Rotel’s 1056 with the B&W’s Model-705

    Hi,

I would like to ask for your experience support.

I’m planning to buy a system that will give me the benefit of the two worlds with high sound quality (fine audio-2 channel and multi channel for home theater).
My current speakers are the newest B&W’s Model-705, does the Rotel’s 1056 Surround Sound Receiver its good enough to-drive the 705 speakers?
In addition 70% of the times I’m listening to music, should I buy a 2-channel power unit to connect to the 1056 for better quality?
    Please advise.

Absolutely, you should purchase a separate power amp for the front channels, if you are into music.

    Just my monies worth,

yeah, even I have been advised to get a separate ROTEL 1080 (200W per channel) amp for my Nautilus 805's, even though I own the ROTEL 1075 Power Amp (120W per channel, which is what my speakers are rated at 50-120W) - the 705's and 805's are very close in power requirements, and design...I think that you should read "Rotel 10xx Equipment Cold Sounding/no Mids?" on this forum - there are some very good explanations there!

        Hi all:

I will purchase a pair of B&W CM4 speakers and a CM series central channel. I live in an apartment right now so don't have the space to setup 5.1 but I will move into a house in next two year. I am also going to a Rotel receiver or pre/pro/amp combo. My candidate choices are:...

        New to the Rotel world

I wanted to thank all of the members of this forum for providing the wealth of knowledge that helped me in my purchasing decision. After considering pretty much else out there (NAD, Arcam, etc.), I bought a RSX-1056 as well as the RDV-1040 earlier today. I am just astounded at the difference in what...

NAD vs Rotel: 2 channel sound ?
        by RotelMotel
Is the Rotel 1056 brighter than the NAD T753/T763 ?
I've only heard the latest Denon's & found they were way too harsh with my room/speakers. Some people seem to think the NAD's have the best 2 channel 'bottom end' but are let down by dated processing/channel steering...
        whereas the...

1056 technical question: 2 sets of speakers
        by phillipk
I use my 1056 for 2 channel but plan on getting a separate amp shortly. I'd like to use the 1056's amp to power two small speakers in another room... then use just the separate amp to power my main speakers in my living room. I might play them both at the same time.. but, naturally, the same signal...

Yamaha rxv2400 vs Rotel 1056..Rotel SACD?
        by Bleu Allen
I'm looking at the Yamaha rxv2400 vs the Rotel rsx1056. I want a system that matches and has SACD or a universal player. What can Rotel Offer? Am I really losing that much sound quality between these two receivers? Is Rotel going to make a SACD or universal player anytime soon. I'm still not totally...
