    Finally got a RC 1590

    I have had RC 1580, 1570, but just got the 1590 after a year or two trying other preamp.
    I have it about two weeks, and its great. I just have one issue.
    It makes s clicking sound when watching TV using the coax input.
    It only happens between commercials, and only on some channels.

    I have updated the software, but it still dose it sometimes.
    Any ideas how to stop this ?

      Sounds like what happens with a surround processor when stations switch from Dolby to PCM during commercials. Of course if your source was set to dolby you wouldn't hear it with the 1590.

      What's the source for TV, box or TV itself?

          The source is a DirecTv box. I will try to check the setting in the menu, but other preamps didn't do it.

              I currently use the RC 995 preamp. Its a very musical preamp that doesn't lack a lot compared to high end preamps I've heard. But I'm wondering about upgrading to the RC 1590. Any comments on the 1590? Is it too very musical or does it lack compared to their older preamps like my 995? I need tape inputs...
