    RSX 1067 transformer died

I replaced the main temp switch for that fans on my 1067 and after testing it with a heat gun (fans kicked on, then kicked off as they should after I turned the heat gun off.) the sensor slipped out of my fingers and touched something popping the 2a 250V fuse. Now the moment the main power switch is turned on, the fuse blows. I've chased the issue to the main transformer on the left side of the case (Not the round one on the right side.) I found the part number, but Rotel doesn't list the part anymore. Is there another place I should go looking for it, or is there a newer receiver that I could look for that might run the same part with a different part number? I don't know if something is dead on the board where the fans plug in or not, but I'd hate to throw this thing out due to a bad transformer.

    Anyone have any ideas?

    Thanks,
    Will

I might have a 1065 with a bad digital board being swapped out soon. Can you check if it's the same part?

Upon closer inspection, its not the transformer that is bad, but it does appear to be part of the "Power 2 016X-1403e04" board. There is a 7 pin plug that comes out of the transformer and plugs into the CP115 "Sub Trans" plug. With that plugged into the board, the fuse blows. With it unplugged, I get signs of life, but no front display. Does anyone have a spare "Power 2" board sitting around they would be willing to part with?

              Thanks

Using 12v trigger to run accessory fans
                by cmr15
I've got a 1067 which runs rather hot, and I'm aware that that's the norm. I'm about to place it in a custom wall unit and need a little info regarding the use of fans and a 12v trigger.

What I'd like to do is use 2 accessory computer fans to circulate the air. One would pull in air...

                Hi there Rotel fans,

Apart from the two new RSX models that Rotel is just rolling out. Would you consider the RSX-1067 to have the best DACs, internal amps than all other RSX models ? I ask this because even though the RSX-1067 was Rotels flagship model for sometime, Rotel released a...

Wife decided between seperates and RSX 1067
                by Nolan B
Appears my wife made the final decision on what I should do with regards to upgrading from my rsx 1055. I was trying to decide between 1068/1075 and 1067. It turns out she gave me the RSX 1067 for xmas, and I have to admit I was very surprised with it

I could have returned it, but...

                RSX-1067 digital board
                by mitka
                Hi,

RSX-1067 developed horrendous electrostatic pops (thru speakers) that disappear in bypass mode.
From that I concluded that the issue is with digital board, part number PCB 016 E-1399C00.
Rotel sells these for $575 which I don't want to spend given the age of the unit....
