Does the RSP-1572 remote work with the 1570?

    Hi folks,

I'm looking for a replacement remote for my RSP-1570 and its showing up as $150 on the parts store site, http://www.bwgroupusa.com/bwgroup-pa...e-control.html

    vs. $21 for the RSP-1572 remote, RR-CX94 http://www.bwgroupusa.com/bwgroup-pa...e-control.html

Does anyone know if it will work with the 1570 as well?

    Thanks in advance.

The IR codes are the same, so the remote will work. I don't believe the 1572 remote has the tape input command, and obviously the 1572 remote cannot learn or control other devices.

Ok thanks but that's strange, I tried emailing support and this was my response:

The RR-CX94 will not control a RSP-1570. The only remote we have available, that can control a RSP-1570, is the RR-1061.

So I guess the only way to know for sure is to test the remote. Has anyone tried the CX94 with a 1570 and it worked?

My apologies. I've been using RS232 control for so long. I looked up the IR codes tonight and they did in fact change the codes for the main zone. Zone's 2-4 remain the same, and the main zone only changed by one byte, but the old codes will not control my 1562. Sorry for the misleading information.

I did check all previous IR codes and they are the same up to the 1570. So you can search ebay for a RR-1050 or RR-969.

          RSP-1570 vs 1572

I'm sure that this has been discussed in the past however I'm am curious what the difference is between the two? Assuming that the 1570 is running the current firmware.

I know the 1572 has a couple of extra hdmi ports, I only need 4 at the moment.

          Rotel 1570/1575 12v trigger problem
          by RichardB
          Hi,

I have recently picked up a Rotel 1570/1575, and I am having a few problems with the 12v trigger between the 1570/1575. I am unable to get the 1575 to power on while using the trigger when turning the 1570 on. I have the trigger cable connected to trigger out 1 on the 1570, and the...

RSX 1550 vs RSP-1570 for Pre Pro duties
          by ldgibson76
For a long time, i've been considering replacing my RSP-1069 with the RSP-1570 or a RSP-1572, if I could find it at an obscenely low price which right, now I know is highly unlikely.

That being said, the likely scenario was the 1570, until recently, someone brought the RSX-1550 to my...

          Rsp1570 Having Issues!

Received my new RSP1570 on Monday this past week and on Wednesday noticed something very strange happening.

When I played a CD in my CD player through an optical connection to the 1570, the first half-measure or so of the first song was cut off.....just sounded like it skipped the first...

          rsp1570 volume query
          by carlsen
Just received my new rsp1570. After two hours trying to get the OSD to come up on my pioneer plasma ( only after defaulting the remote ) I managed to hook up my rotel rotel cd player, rotel dvd player rdv1045, and my pioneer blu-ray.

I havent had much time to tinker but the bluray audio...
