Redirect feature of RSX-1055 not working

    Redirect feature of RSX-1055 not working

    I recently bought a Rotel RB-1070 amp hoping to use it to drive my front speakers and use the redirect feature in the receiver to use it to drive the center back speakers.

    Unfortunately I have not been able to get this to work.

    I just upgraded the firmware from 1.37 to 1.46 but this did not solve the problem.

    Has anyone else had a problem with the 1055 receiver and the redirect feature?

    Am I missing something?

      You need ver 1.47 to fix the redirect feature. I had the same problem.

              Finally got around to bi-amping my front speakers last night using my RSX 1055 and RMB 1075.
              Unfortunately the Redirect feature of my 1055 does not seem to be working. When I select redirect rear back speakers to front it will not take and remains on front.
              Any ideas

              Just relocated my gear in our living room and I'm having a bugger of a time to get the redirect to work again. I used to have the RB-1050 driving the front left and right channels but decided that it would be better to use the RB-1050 for the 2 x centre back channels.

              Sure it is all connected...

              I own a 1055 and my favorite feature is the sub/center/surround level adjustment.

              How many times have you bumped up you sub or center channel volume and forgot to turn it back? With the Rotel it goes back automatically when you change sources or modes.
