    RSP-1066 vs. RSX-1056 preamp section

Hello Everyone. I have a RSP-1066 and a RSX-1056. I would like to know if anyone knows if either one of these units has a higher quality preamp section. Output components, etc. Thanks!

Any ideas out there? Let's throw the RSP-1068 into the mix as well. Input/output stage differences? Op-amp types?

    Thanks!

I can't comment on the individual components. However, I found the 1068 was a significant step up in preamp quality from the 1066. And, found the 1069 to be a little better than the 1068.

I could hear no difference between the 1570 and 1069.

For 2-ch music, the 1066 is definitely at the bottom of the list. It also had LF limitations in the surround mode that were fixed in the later models.

Preamp section of RA-1062 vs. RC-1070
          by Jamil
          Hello Rotel fans,

Can anyone comment on the difference between the preamp section of RA-1062 (Integrated amp) versus RC-1070 (stereo pre-amp). I would think the RC-1070 to be better in performance when mated with a standalone amp instead of using the pre-outs of the RA-1062 and hooking...

          quick preamp section Qs
          by ds22030
          1. Are the preamp sections of 1055/1065/1066 the same?

          2. It is my understanding that 1055 with frimware 2.xx will pass HD 100Mhz or what ever the new standards require. Is that true? How do I check for firmware version?

          3. Are the preamp sections of 1056/1067/1068 the...

Stick to RSX1065 or go to 1055/1075 separates?
          by BleakShore
I guess I'd like to hear/learn advices/experiences from those who have gone this route.

That is, stick with the RSX1066, or exchange it for the RSX1055/RMB1075 combo? I bought it from Myer-Emco so I can do the exchange with no penalty.

          The reason I'm contemplating this...

          Preamp choices: RSP1068 or RSX1056 or AVR3805?
          by csuzor
Is the better choice the RSP1068 or RSX1056 for pre-amp duty?

I will add the RMB1066 (in bi-amp mode) or the RMB1075.
I am upgrading from a denon1804 to drive B&W700series in 5channels only (no sub yet)

Being budget limited, choosing the RSX1056 allows me to...

          Will RSX-1056 improve with a RB976 amp and does rsx1056 = rsp1066
          by mike.g
          I have a RB976 6 channel amp
          http://europe.rotel.com/support/pdfs/manuals/Rb976.pdf

It drives my M&K k17's and K4's all of which are rated at 4 ohm.

The amp's specs are rated at 4 ohm and it is very clear the amp should and can drive 4 ohm speakers on all channels....
