    Preamp section of RA-1062 vs. RC-1070

    Hello Rotel fans,

    Can anyone comment on the difference between the preamp section of RA-1062 (Integrated amp) versus RC-1070 (stereo pre-amp). I would think the RC-1070 to be better in performance when mated with a standalone amp instead of using the pre-outs of the RA-1062 and hooking the amp. I have the RA-1062 but since my Era Design 5 speakers are not that efficient I was planning on getting a separate amp. Since my thoughts were already going that way I was wondering whether I should let the RA-1062 go and get the RC-1070 instead. Any/all feedback will be appreciated.

      Tne RC-1070 is a very fine pre for the $$$ - I am not familiar with the RA-1062. A few write-ups/reviews of the RC-1070 I have read have stated the cost of the pre is worth the phonosection alone. I was very happy with my RC-1090 (Upgraded to RC-1090 and RB-1092). It is now in my BR system.
