    channel output problem

    Happy new year everybody :
I am new to this forum.
I recently bought on ebay a Rotel 840BX4 integrated amplifier. It works find when I use the cd input. However, I have a problem with either AUX input. I use the AUX to connect my tv receiver and my computer. After 5 to 10 minutes one channel suddenly stops, it produces some glitches for a while and then seems to completely die. Then, when I switch on a cd both channels work fine.
I guess there is some overheating somewhere or may be an other problem ?
I tried to find a schematics on the web with no success.
Can somebody could give me some clues on the parts to check ?

    thanks

First off, check your wires to be sure that's not the issue by switching them out. If that's not the issue, unplug the unit and pop off the lid and look at the inputs in question. Clean them and re-solder if necessary. Honestly, this does not sound like a serious problem at all since it works with the CD input.
