RSP-985 Locks Up

    RSP-985 Locks Up

    I have an RSP-985 (going on 12 years now!) and have never really had any issues with until now. I am connecting an Apple TV to it through the video 4 Optical connection. I like to use Pandora via my iTouch and Airplay the audio to the Apple TV, then to the 985 through the optical connection. However, lately the 985 locks up whenever the Apple TV is enabled and sending an audio signal. I have confirmed that it is the optical connection by removing and the lock-up issues goes away. Anyone have any similar experiences with this?

      The first thing I would do is change out the Toslink optical cable. The cable might be bad.

          And if swapping the cable doesn't help, perhaps try a different optical input.
