Displaying Input Selection on Remote LED

I have a RXS-1056 with it's oem RR-1050 remote. I have programmed my inputs and the 1056's LED displays my selections: DVD, DIRECTV, SAT, IPOD, PHONO.

On the remote, selecting V1 displays DVD on the remote's LED, which is correct, but I have no idea how this came to be.
    However, selecting
    V2 displays VIDEO 2
    V3 displays VIDEO 3
    V4 displays VIDEO 4
    V5 displays VIDEO 5

I'd like the remote's LED to display the labels as they appear on the 1056's LED. So that selecting:
    V2 displays DIRECTV
    V3 displays SAT
    V4 displays IPOD
    V5 displays PHONO

    Your assistance is appreciated.

Custom labels on the remote have to be programmed as a separate procedure. AUD, CD, TUNER, TAPE, EXT and VIDEO 1 thru VIDEO 5 are default labels, so if you used those inputs on the receiver, and like the associated default label, there is nothing to change on the remote.

To program custom labels on the remote (either matching the RSX-1056 display labels or as different labels), under the sliding remote door:

    - Press the Edit button (the display will read "EDIT?")
    - Press the input selection button that you want to re-label (the first character will blink)
    - Use the Up and Down arrow keys to select the letter, and the - and + (left and right) arrow keys to advance to the next character (press X on numeric keypad to insert a space)
    - Press the Edit button when finished

      Steve,

Thank you very much. I just (a few minutes ago) found and downloaded the remote's user manual which I could not find on Rotel's site. Haven't had a chance to read it yet.

Thanks for the instructions and link.

Has anyone else heard these yet?! Cranked I and III up last night and my goodness it sounds like Page lubed up his guitar and slid it slowly, lovingly in to my ears.

If you're a classic rock/Zep fan you owe it to yourself to hear these remasters. They're on a whole other level...

Impressed by LED display picture quality

I was recently as a local electronics store and when passing by the big screen TVs one of them really struck me as having a superior looking picture.
Upon closer inspection it ended up being a Samsung 55" LED display.

Can't turn off RSX 1056 with my remote
        by andrew555
In some instances when I press the off button on the remote to turn off the RSX 1056 the unit wont turn off. When I then press the reset button on the remote and press the off button again the unit turns off. Any ideas why it wont turn off in the first instance?

Parasound has put out a new press release on the JC-2. While you're over there, you may want to check out the rest of their PR website--lots of good info there. New stuff on the JC-2, pictures of the JC-2, D3, and other stuff in the "Photo Library", etc.
