serial cable for firmware upgrade

Is there a cheaper way?

I am under the impression that it is a proprietary wiring scheme and you will either need the Rotel cable or will need to DIY one.

Kevin D (Moderator) would probably know if this is correct or maybe even where a Rotel cable could be sourced.

Thanks! Any idea how much the cable costs from Rotel? @#$%^& non-standard wiring, BTW. I googled up the pin connections for the Cisco cable, and indeed they are different.
