Anyone Still Love the rsp 1066 / 1068?

hello all,

i have the 1066 / 1075 combo in bedroom & 1068 / 1075 combo in family room. i love my systems. got the new hd surrounds formats with the 6-channel input. :T

1066/1075 combo almost 8 years. I use the multi-input as well for blu-ray. I haven't had the urge to modernize and probably won't until I replace my TV in about two years.

Still have my 1066, but looking for a successor. I can´t use the analogue input for blu-ray since I need them for SACD. Also, I would like to have room correction.

love my 1068. no need to upgrade to 1069 or equivelent yet.

Check my sig for power amps. Adding more amps, doubleing system output(!) along w/bi/tri-amped LCR when migration to living room complete.

Living room has Toshiba 42" Regza LCD in place of 35" Proscan CRT.

Just switched to DirecTV.

Just took in 2 more foster children

I have the 1066 and don't see a need to upgrade. I use an hdmi switch for the video and use multi channel inputs for my blueray, SACD and DVDA players - also via a switch. I power my speaker system with a RMB-985 amp as well.

It is still great for music and control of the entire system. No regrets and no hot flashes of upgrade-itis.

How did you upgrade to the new surround sound formats? Are they offering a firmware update somewhere? Is it free?

No firmware updates are available for the 1066. The surround formats are gained via analog inputs with the multi channel. I have the SACD, DVDA, HDVD or BD player do their update and then send the audio to the 1066. The player does the decoding.

The only audio that the 1066 processes is regular DTS or Dolby for cds or tv/sat viewing. I use the digital inputs for that.
