Is it bad to put the power conditioner on top of the pre amp?

It's not ideal to set a line conditioner on top of any product due to potential noise it may generate. If it's the only place, then you don't have a choice. If you can put it somewhere else, that would be preferred.

Hello everybody
I received my Rotel RC1082 from my dealer couple months ago and everything looks fine.
The problem was that the volume knob stopped working and it wasn lit plus sometimes when I was powering on the preamp coupe inputs on the RC1082 were lit on on the listening... -
I looked at the specs on both the RLC1040/1080 and the pictures shows that the RLC1040 has conditioned in/outlet for either phone line or ethernet line. I'm more interested in the conditioning for the ethernet cable, but the specs state that only the RLC1080 has the ability to condition ethernet cables....23 November 2006, 21:45 Thursday -

I presently have the RC1070 and like it very much. Have the chance to get the discontinued RC1090 at good price. Will I see an appreciable sonic improvement in that upgrsde? Or, would you wait for the upcoming RC1082 and would anyone know at this point if the upgrade will mean better sound? I hear... -
