Hi there,
So my RB-1080 got delivered this weekend, but the seller forgot to put the power cord in the box. So while I wait for him to send me the stock cord I was just wondering if I could use a power cord from my PC to run the amp? Looks like the same socket to me.
I'm not looking to open Pandora's box about the effects of the mains cable on the sound of the amp, I just am anxious to hook this baby up and take a listen and don't want to start any fires or blow fuses in the process. I looked up IEC connector in Wikipedia and it says most PC sockets are rated for 10 Amps, but the fuse on the 1080 is 12A, so I don't know if I'll pull too much current through the power cord.
Thanks
