Remote control RR 1050 doesn't reset

    Remote control RR 1050 doesn't reset

    Hi,

    I'm new here

    I just bought a second hand RSX 1056 and a RDV 1092. Very thrilled with it!The remote control from the DVD works fine but the RR 1050 that goes with the 1056 does not work any longer. In first instance the light of the display was on and I was able to turn on the dvd, then the buttons no longer reacted. After resetting, it stopped working completely.

    I've put in new batteries and tried to reset it but the only thing I get in the display is 'waiting'. I've waited for 24 hours but nothing happens

    Has anyone had the same problem? Is there a way to fix it or do I have to buy a new one?

      Any 1056 would still be under warranty, though it's not transferable. If you call Rotel and ask nicely, they may swap it out for you anyway.

          thanx for your reply, kevin. I ended up buying a new one (RR 1060), so we've got everything up and running now (unfortunately at our own expense )

                  Hi, new member here. I just picked up a slightly used Rsx-1056 but it did not come with a remote control. Is there any way to pick up a replacement or am I better off just getting a universal remote? If I go the universal remote route, am I still going to be able to properly access all programming...
