RSX 1058 HDMI Video Bypass?

    RSX 1058 HDMI Video Bypass?

    I have an RSX 1058 receiver. The picture on my TV is better running direct from my Directv receiver via HDMI. Is there a bypass so that the picture will stay as good as going direct to the TV. I set the HDMI bypass in the menu to yes but it still looks better not hooked to the receiver. There is nothing in the manual at all about setting yes or no to HDMI bypass.

    Is this the same as the Add On HDMI bypass they install at the factory as an option for the RSP 1069?

    btw it sounds better than my 1056 did. Maybe they improved the processer?

      Not sure at what point the 1058 got the hardware bypass. Might want to call Rotel and double-check. With the new software and no hardware bypass, the setting is just a resolution bypass.
