rsx-1067 zone 2 and digital signals

    hi all:

i understand that my rsx-1067 will not pass a digital signal to zone 2. i am currently using an optical connection from a series three tivo box and am not getting sound passed to zone 2 (sq in zone 1 is amazing!!!), but i want to know if i can get sound passed to zone 2 by connecting a set of analogue cables (rca type i guess) to the 1067 from the tivo box while i leave my optical connection in place.

    will this work?

will this effect sq in zone 1 in any way?

the 1067 is awesome and one of my favorite toys!

    Thanks everyone....

I will work just fine. As long as you have the optical input assigned for the main zone, the analog cable will only be for the zone 2 output and the record outputs. Your sound quality will not be affected.

Just wondering if anyone has had any luck with any products to control zone 2 with the 1067. Got it all hooked up and it works just fine, but would be nice to be able to adjust the volume or change sources without opening the door. Looking for a fairly cheap solution and have no experiance whatsoever...

      Hello,
I am new to this forum. I am an audiophile with some restrictions to my location - I live in Brooklyn so space is limited, hence the need for smaller Quad Bookshelf speakers and the need to use a Sunfire Subwoofer even though I normally never use Subs. That being said here's where things...

      AppleTV audio setting w/RSX1067

I just got the new Apple TV to try out with my RSX-1067. I have it hooked up through the optical input.

What is the best audio setting I should set for the default on my rotel? Right now it's set to 2CH PCM, but not sure if there is a better choice. Mostly, I would just listen to music...

I'm using the optical output from my Apple TV 2 for the audio connection to my RSX1067. I have never been able to get sub audio with 5.1 movies played from netflix or iTunes rentals. The same audio input on my rotel will play 5.1 from DVD or BD player. I can also play 5 channel audio from iTunes...
