1069 - Can you assign multi-ch inputs to a video source?

I am thinking of buying a 1069. I had one on loan for a weekend and the only thing I couldn't seem to do was assign the multi-ch analogue inputs to a video source? EG watching 1080p htpc through hdmi and listening to lossless pcm via discrete analogue inputs.

I had to switch the 1069 to the desired video source but then separatley invoke the analogue inputs.

Does anyone who owns this unit know if it can be done?

Yes, you need to go into input setup menu to the multi-channel input. There you set what video you want to see when you switch to the multi-channel inputs.

Technical question about RSP1098 multi inputs
        by Kreyfish
A question for those familiar with the workings of the 1098.

From page 19 of the manual-:
"The MULTI inputs are analogue bypass inputs, passing signals directly through to the volume control and preamp outputs, bypassing all of the digital processing. The RSP-1098 provides...

Connecting Oppo Blu-Ray to Rotel 1069
        by chanlon
        Hello All.

As the title of this post suggests, I need some advice connecting the Oppo to my Rotel 1069. I would simply like to use the single HDMI cable into one of the HDMI inputs. I would like the following things to occur:

        1) Allow the Rotel processor to handle all DTS/Dolby...

Blu-ray Player and RSP-1098 Multi Channel Inputs
        by whmacs
        Hi Guys,
I suspect the answer will be "No", but I would appreciate some confirmation. I recently purchased a Sony S300 Blu-Ray player. I have the 5.1 analogue outputs connected to the 7.1 multi-channel inputs on my RSP-1098. I use splitters to break the rear channels into the rear and...

RSP 1098 - Help switching between Digital and Analogue Inputs
        by Aussie Geoff
        Hi,

Having got a new DVD, something I've just got round to trying with my RSP 1098 is wanting to switch between digital and analogue inputs on the 1098 to compare the sound.

The manual makes it look like this is easy using the “2 Channel” button to toggle or the “Sur+”

Does RSP-1066 have an analogue bypass?
        by pbarata
Maybe this is a sold out topic, but after reading some posts comparing the analogue inputs (CD, TAPE, TUNER and MULTI-CHANNEL) from RSP-1066 and RSP-1068 I became confused. My doubt persists as I think that RSP-1066 is doing analogue bypass when 2CH option is selected (except that in this mode one can...
