NEw CD player RCD1072

I have a system with Rotel gears (RSP1068+ 2xRB1092 + 1xRB1091)
speakes B&W803D-HTM2D-805S (750sub).

Now I want to buy a CD player: I have read a review from Rcd1072
with price and performance will be a good choice (and with my Rotel gear is too a good look)

Or I muss see another player? (Arcam,Primare,Cambridge...)
(your experience)

Please opinion.

Get the ROTEL.the 1072 matches very well with ROTEL pre. I owned an all ROTEL rig when I started out.

Go for it. I have it for about 6 months and it is brilliant. I now burn even my AC3s from itunes on CDs for better sound reproduction.

It would be so much easier ( and better) if the 1072 had a digital input. Rotel should really look at adding one to their next CD player.

I have all my dvd, bluray,.. always with the coax. cables and not with a optical cable.

Is not better a coax cable vs. optical? ops:

Or with digital output you don't think at the type of cable?

I have see by my dealer the "old" Marantz SA17S1 (New no demo or so like that) and I can have this one for a very good price (ca. $. 700) cd and sacd :T
Advance acustic player cd MCD-203II for ca. $.800.-

or go with the Rotel RCD1072 (ca. $ 950)?

I have no experience with the other players, but I have a 1072 with a RC-1070 and RB-1080 and have not had any trouble and have been very happy with the sound quality. I'm sure there is better, but I think it is a great player.

well, the Rotel cd application with the Rcd1072 is sure a good choice,
the dvd 1093 i think is a little overpriced from what delivered...(I have a Denon 3930 :T ).

The Marantz SA17S1 is good player but is raelly too the is a little old.
Personaly I don't need a SACD becouse in Switzerland the SACD are not so available; 2 channel in stereo is for me a great solution.

If I go versus Price thread the Rotel 1072 is a good solution performance-price. (the Rotel cd player serie 6 are not so good like the 1072: not so expensive butI think I can have the same with with the Denon DVD3930!!->

But the Advance acustic player cd MCD-203II is too a very good gear.
The "new" Marantz sa15s2 should be better than the Rotel 1072 but also with a price much higher (1 Marantz coast as 2 Rotel 1072)!

Some of you had an experience with the Advance acustic mdc-203II or with marantz sa15s2?
and why buy the Rotel Rcd1072 vs. the other 2 players?

coax and optical are both digital. Caox can be used as digital or analog. One is not going to sound better then the other, so your set up is just fine. :T

yes, I'm sorry ... you have right S11s1 or s2, s15 is only s1 sorry for confusion...

Do you have see the technical performance from the SA17S1?
this Marantz or the Rotel 1072?

(xlr,optical-coax., ....) great player... only in design the Rotel will be better with my actuall system..


The Marantz Sa 17S1 is not a the same level fron Rotel Rcd1072?
