Haven't seen anything on the 1098 with HDMI (I just checked the website). Until it offers HDMI, frankly it will still be obsolete.

try search, there is a thread on this. HDMI switching only, no decoding, module replaces the s-video board. Requires special firmware and fitting by Rotel. Whether its worth it is a personal choice, but its probably a good option in leu of a 1099.

I think the oppo HD-31 (I think that's the model) for $99 is a much better deal.
