Rotel rb985 and Emotiva lmc-1

    Rotel rb985 and Emotiva lmc-1

    I am looking for a good 7.1 pre-amp for my new rotel which wont dig to far into my wallet.

    I heard good things about the emotiva lmc-1 and was hoping it would match up well with the Rotel.

    I am planning on getting a rb 980 when I find one.

    Does anyone have an input weather the emotiva will match up well or have other prospects that I may want to look at.

      would you switch a rotel-rsp1068 for home theater use only for the $200 cheaper emotiva umc1? the rotel rsp1068 would be used for 2-channel sterio only?

      will soon recieve rb 985 5 channel amp, and was in the future thinking of buying rb 1080 to power front channels for av/sterio duties,
      have know noticed there is older models avaliable ie rb991 (200watts)...

      I have a Rotel RB985 which produces 5X100W RMS & Cerwin vega CVT12 300W RMS
      I'm currently using the 2 front amp channles to power these speakers & they are clearly underpowered (clipping at 1/3 power)
