RSX 1065 zone 2 issue...I get tuner only!

I can get the tuner to play through zone 2, but nothing else!

I use 3 input sources for my listening: tuner, Video 4 (Directv) and Video 5 (Itunes of my computer).

I can listen to all 3 input sources on the non Zone 2 (the receiver's amp), but only the tuner on the Zone 2. I have a RB1070 power amp for Zone 2.

What is my problem?

To listen to a source on zone 2 you need to have the analog audio cables for that source hooked up as well. Since the tuner is connected analog internally, its working fine.

I'm guessing you only have digital connections for your Directv and computer.

You are correct about the digital connections. Who da thunk that once the signal is in the reciever it couldn't be shared?

I was able to hook up the Directv box with the analog cable and it works.

I will have to get a mini plug to rca y adapter for the computer.

There is no DA converter for zone 2. It's just analog.
