Hello. My RSX-1067 has been trouble free for a couple of years. In the past week a problem has surfaced.
The first time I had the problem the unit powered up and I had normal audio for a couple seconds and then loss most of audio and what I could still hear was at a very low level and slightly distorted. If I turned the unit off and then back on the same thing occured (sound then no sound). I found that if I left the unit on for around 10 minutes and then shut it off and back on I had normal audio and it was maintained and the unit appeared to be operating normally. This pattern was maintained for a couple days (that is no sound after first couple seconds after power up and then eventually sounds comes on and is maintained).
The past 2 days I turn the unit on and have sound for a longer time 1+ minute and then lose it. After some period of time of leaving the unit on normal audio is restored and maintained.
I have the same problem regardless of the input source (HDTV DVR, CD, DVD) and whether or not I bypass the processing.
Any thoughts on what the problem might be?
Thanks in advance.
Stephen
