    Rotel 1067 Need Help!

I purchased a Rotel 1067 at Christmas 04 and I need some assistance and/or your expertise. I think I have a bit of a problem. I'm using the Rotel with Definitive Tech speakers (7.1 DT2002's). After the unit has been on for a few hours its starts with a crackle (for lack of a better term) in one of the side speakers and progresses from there. Worst I have heard it get is a loud crackle, hum etc. from all seven speakers. When you shut the unit off using the main power switch on the back of the unit - it goes away. couple of other smaller issues - i hear a constant hum when there is no sound signal going through the speakers. tends to be drowned out when watching a movie or satellite. Secondly, evrey once in awhile when you switch the video (on the rotel) from DVD to Sat or Sat to XBOX, etc. you don't get a picture. If you do it again, then you get the picture. Hope this makes sense. Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks!

The crackling is a known problem on early production units, will need to fixed by Rotel. The hum sounds like a ground loop, get the crackling fixed first. On the video problem, how is everything hooked up and what outputs are you using to your TV?

      Hey all!

I'm a first time Rotel owner, been eyeing the RSX since the introduction of the 1065. First off, I did find a good amount of info on the hiss/pop issue amongst the threads, but didn't find much info on my questions and issues specifically so I decided to start a new thread,...

      1067 noise/crackle
      by SDSmith
I recently purchased a used 1067. Recently it has started to intermitently crackle at times. Almost sounds like the static you hear on a bad phone line. The noise seems to occur at random times and I can hear through all my speakers. If it begins having one of its noise 'episodes' and I switch...

Heat and Hum from my RSX-1067 Normal?
      by KAP
While I await the arrival of the RSX-1067 that is supposed to not have the crackling/popping issue, I have a couple other concerns that hopefully you guys can address:

When the Volume is at any level higher than "0", there is a distinct Humm, coming from all 5 speakers. This...

New Rotel/BW setup, ground problems, 1080
      by JBall
I set up my gear last night a fired it up. I bought the 1067 and the 1080 to bi-amp the fronts. I bought the Nautilus 803's. Inital thoughts, they sound much better than in the store. In the store they were actually too bright and wasn't blown away, i think the room was poor too. I bought them...
