Can anyone tell me what the differences between the RB 1090 and the class D amps are other than power. And by the way, thats a lot of power- 500 watts per channel, 1092 for something that only weighs 22 lbs. Also why did they discontinue the 1090. I just purchased one on ebay and was wondering if there is any issues that I should be concerned with regarding this model? Thanks.

Hi,
I have listened to both the RB-1090 and RB-1092 extensively... Both are great amps.. Sound quite different to me... I had a preference for the RB-1092 but my companion in listenning prefered the RB-1090... If you use the search function you will find some great threads debating the differences... Be happy with yours - the best traditional amp that Rotel has ever made and many people are still looking for them second hand

You will be happy with your 1090 I am with mine
My speakers are very efficient. I was pleasantly surprised at how cool the 1090 runs. Get help putting it in place. Once there, moving it on a shelf is not difficult. Check the box for "ANY DAMAGE" and have the delivery guy mark it box damaged if you can find any box damage. This will help if once inside you find damage. Happy listening.- Bottom

by geezaHello Everybody after 3yrs of absence (shame on me)
Two years ago I've bought second hand RB-1090. Great engine for my TwoPointFive's. I've noticed a mechanical buzz coming out from the chassis. It's not so loud but its predecessor in my set-up (RB-1070) was completely silent....-

by TwincamHi
I will soon move to slightly bigger house, and then use my Nautilus 804 for a pure 2 channel setup. My RSP 1098/RMB 1075 combo will be used in a separate room for a HT setup (connected to 805/HTM2/SCM1/ASW700).
I am thinking of the Rotel RC-1090 / RB-1080 combo for...-

by audiofiyleHi everyone, this is my first post to Htguide Rotel forum. I currently am running 2 Rotel amps in my system right now. The 1080 driving my Dynaudio
focus 220's, and a 1075 driving my center and surrounds, and a pair of Niles
out on my deck. Here's the deal, I want to setup a second 2 channel...-
